stupid? yeah, me and million others

this link shows state by state vote results

against the IQ.

I know I am stupid. I have to live with me, that's why I know.

But many others are pretty stupid too.
Interesting how those voted.

No wonder Kerry lost. He tried to make arguments.

Bush & Co just threw as much dirt as possible.

I think that dividing the USA in 2 countries would be an excellent idea.
Those Red states just leave them on their own. And charge them for every Terrabyte
that they consume out of the blue states. No matter what kind of content you are talking
about it does not come out of Wyoming if it requires thinking .

That so-called study was debunked long ago, it's even mentioned on the page you reference. Try here for more recent, if not more accurate stats. Scroll down to the "Vote by education" statistics.

Not that I believe education levels are really indicative of intelligence, but the data is more sound.

As for your division -- we in the red will get by just fine. Stock up on food, blue. ;)

I did see one study showing that the over educated and extremely under educated vote democrat. As to why the undereducated vote democrat is apparent, but I think the reason "intellectuals" vote democrat is interesting. It all has to do with the old quote "it's an idea so bad, even an intellectual will believe it." Intellectuals are stuck in theories and hypotheticals and spend much of their time dabbling in innane experiments, especially those in social sciences. This is why the last bastion of socialist economic theories are embraced by intellectuals in the ivory towers of the universities (even though socialism has failed in EVERY real life applciation).
what is more important is to realize that those who are most experienced with the way the world operates, as opposed to some theoretical hypothetical, tend to vote republican. The vast majority of intelligent successful businessman vote republican, not because of some haneous desire that they will get special favors, but because they realize that dems ideas simply wont work.

One simple example is the liberal platform of raising the minimum wage. while social scientist argue that raising the min wage will somehow magically raise the standard of living for our nations poor, businessmen realize and KNOW, that raising the minimum wage will only create more unemployment (the cost of labor is increased causing employers to reduce workers, and more people are induced to enter the labor market, making it more competitive).
