Thanks for all those comments. And thanks that they are mostly civil.
Bush didn't get Bin Laden. That is a fact. After 9/11 the world and the US were united.
Bush said he would get him. Till then, he did not get him. It was his job to do so.
He is commander in chief. He spend Billions of Dollars. More than 1000 brave
american soldiers have lost their lives. More than 100,000 Iraqi civilians lost their lives.
The world is not a saver place.
There were no weapons of mass destruction in the Iraq.
The "coalition of the willing" is shrinking month by month.
For the first gulf war germany paid 25 Billion US, since they could not send any troops back then.
Germany has 3000 troops in Afghanistan. Iraq is a complete disaster. Simple as that.
The handover to the provisional government was done 48 hours before schedule. It saved a couple of
lives, and was a good move therefor. But it also shows that Iraq is not under control. Its an adventure
that this administration did not plan correctly. And that did not go as planned. Just go back and read
what Rumsfeld and Bush said in 2003. And then compare that to reality.

And, in the meantime, Bin Laden is sitting in Pakistan.
Iran is building nukes.
North Korea has them already.

And Bush?

No, we surely didn't get Osama. Yet. But we did put him out of commission. What? That's right, we haven't heard from him for nearly two years, until just this week.
Just by the fact that he had been out of contact with the world makes the world a safer place. Can't make evil plans if you're not coordinating.
I'd like some sort of proof backing this statement: "Iraq is a complete disaster. Simple as that."

You make roughly 12 blind, unbacked statements that everyone is sick of hearing because we hear them every day from the left. Specifically, Kerry.

Anywho, you're welcome to my blog anytime, but please, make strong arguments instead of generic, hackneyed statements.

Sam,
If the war on terror is the primary objective (which it does not appear to be for the administration), the play in 2001-2002 was a massive war in Afghanistan with US forces prepared to fight their way to western china to get Osama. This would accomplish two things, actually disrupt al qaeda by driving them from their safe haven, and two kill many al qaeda who protect Osama et al.
This option would be very costly in American lives, but perhaps less costly than what "american azam" is threatening on ABC news.
Chris, the notion osama is "out of commission" where ever he is hiding is foolishly optomistic. The bin laden group of saudi arabia is know for industrial construction and tunnelling. During the afghan / soviet war osama applied the bin laden groups materiel and know how to build substantial secure infrastructure in AF/PK. It has been reported one tunnel complex contains four hospitals. That is some giant cave.
So, in short, the powers that be have let osama run loose largely unmolested for the last 3 years. Zarqawi is not the command and contol of al qaeda, and in Kerry's words "a diversion".

In case you weren't aware, 75% of terrorists have been captured under our President. Its not like catching the Osama is a walk in the park. I'd like to see you try Sam. The administration is still on the hunt for him, and in case you didn't hear, Osama endorsed Kerry....hmmmm....wonder why?
